If my last few reports seem very much alike, that’s because they are. The fishing in Biscayne Bay right now is epic! I don’t know how else to explain it.
The bone fishing this summer has been outstanding. The water temperature in the past few days has been a little cooler then normal for this time of year. I believe this has to do something with tropical storm Isaac that came through town. We’ve been catching bonefish from 6 to 12 pounds and it’s only going to get better with fall around the corner.
The pilchards and minnows have showed up with full force, and that only means one thing, juvenile tarpon. We been getting them consistently early in the morning on the bait schools.
The permit fishing remains hot and will continue to due so through early winter.
Give me a call if your looking for some day’s in the fall.
