Hi everyone,
This is the time of year where things slow down for me, and although we had a decent year it could have been better. We had plenty of bad luck in South Florida this year starting with the cold weather we had in the winter, to the fish kill talk witch wasn’t as bad as people thought, to now people canceling trips because they think we have oil on our waters. FYI: We do not have oil, and we are not expected to have any oil in the near future.
For those of you who couldn’t make it down this year for tarpon season, I must say you missed one of the best tarpon seasons I’ve seen in years. From Biscayne Bay to the upper keys and Florida bay it was just phenomenal.
Right now it’s prime time Permit and bonefishing especially in Biscayne Bay. The redfishing in Flamingo Florida Bay has been quite good as well along with plenty of trout and snook.
I’ve designed a package list for individuals and corporate trips that may interest some of you. It’s designed to save you money when booking several days throughout the year. Please check it out under the home page or the charter info page and click on the link special package pricing. I am also taking bookings now for the 2011 tarpon season, so if you want prime time please contact me way ahead of time to get the best tides and dates.
There are also a couple of great tournaments coming up that I’m available for charter.
The 44th 2010 Islamorada Fall All Tackle Bonefish World Championship will be 3 days, October 11 – 13 call me for more details and information.
Herman Lucerne Memorial tournament September 24, 25 and 26.
I look forward to seeing you all in the fall and don’t forget the permit fishing is hot right now.
