The weather last week kept me off the water and I had no choice but too cancel and reschedule several days of bonefishing due to bad weather.
Fishing the past two weeks has been tough with strong winds and colds fronts moving through every few day’s or so; it hasn’t been easy! I’ve been fishing mainly out of Flamingo and finding fish around islands with deep motes and creeks. The deeper water is where the fish have been, especially the snook. The black drum are everywhere and catching over 10 or 20 drum this time of year is not uncommon.

I really don’t have a Biscayne Bay report as far as bonefishing is concern. It has been way to cold and windy. Miami’s Government cut and Halover inlet has had plenty of tarpon. It seems that the weather is going to warm up by Thursday and the winds are going to calm down to 5 to 10 witch should get the tarpon eating really well. The bonefishing should start getting better as well with big schools of fish swimming in deep water.
If you’re looking to book a trip this week the only day’s I have open is Thursday 2/12 and Friday 2/13. I do have night tarpon trips available for anyone interested that’s down here for the boat show and want to get some fishing in.
That’s it for now,
