The New Year has been good to me so far with plenty of days on the water. It seems like just after the holidays my phone has not stopped ringing, so 2011 is looking go so far. I also want to thank everyone who has fished with me in the past couple of weeks for there business.
I’ve been mixing it up between Biscayne Bay and mainly targeting bonefish and Flamingo Everglades National Park catching redfish, black drum, sheep head, and trout.
The bonefishing has been consistent until this past week. We had a front move through on Wednesday and it seemed to have shut them down some. After a couple of days of warmer weather it should be back to normal.
The fishing in Flamingo has been the best bet lately and the fishing has been very consistent. There are hundreds of small to medium size redfish, black drum up to 15 lbs and loads of trout. We are averaging 50 to 100 fish a day in Flamingo and I expect it to stay this way for the next couple of months.
Fishing is hot right now and I’m booking up fast especially tarpon season April, May, and June. If you want to get some days in the books, give me a call so we can go over some dates.
