Biscayne Bay summer permit, tarpon, and bone fishing report

I finally have some time to sit down and update my fishing report section. For those of you who follow my reports, I apologize for the delay. Social media makes adding photos and quick reports much easier, so you can always follow me on Insatgram @capt_raul_montoro or on Facebook Shallow Tails Guide Service, Inc.

Since early winter, I’ve been non stop fishing daily up into a few days ago. 2019 tarpon season was phenomenal and I want to thank everyone who has fished with me this year. It’s been a great season thus far and it’s not over yet.

Right now the fishing is hot, and I’m not just talking about the weather. Biscayne Bay has had great permit fishing as well a good early morning juvenile tarpon fishing. The tarpon fishing has been best early in the am at the crack of dawn.

The bone-fishing remains strong throughout the day when the tides are right. Overall the Biscayne Bay has been fishing great.

August is a great time of year to permit fish and tarpon fish, if you can handle the heat, give me a call and let go fishing. I have some dates available for August, just give me a head up so we can go over availability.

Just a reminder because I have many people ask me. We cater to fly and spin fisherman, not just fly fisherman. We also have a 24′ Bay boat to accommodate up three adults and family of four.

Attached are a few pics from some reason trips.
